USBORNE'S Reach For The Stars!! Pledge-Based Reading Incentive Program

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are providing an exciting reading-incentive program, REACH FOR THE STARS!! The goal is to motivate our children to read, keep them reading, and then reward them with books that grab their attention! Your children benefit by being motivated to read, and by receiving free books (50% of their pledges will be given back to them in the books of your choice). We will also be rewarding the top participating readers, pledge collectors, and more, by receiving bonus books, Jump!Zone passes, and more. Must Ministries benefits by receiving free books (50% of the total pledges will be given to the children they service). You and your child will also have the satisfaction of knowing you encouraged literacy for children who likely own few, if any, books!

Your child will be rewarded with books for participating. Participation in this program involves:
* Collecting pledges from friends, neighbors, and relatives supporting their reading activity
* Reading (or being read to) over the coming two week period
* At the end of the reading period, the pledges will be collected and turned in to Jump Zone for Jody Robertson (Usborne Books)
* At that time (listed below), we will hold a book fair at Jump!Zone. Your child is invited to come to the fair and choose books totaling 50% of their pledge money! If you do not wish to participate in the RFTS reading event, you are welcome to come purchase and/or order books at the end of the event

Please help your child in this program by reading to your child and by helping them collect their pledges. Your child will have the privilege of choosing new books to take home! Please contact Jody Robertson at (678) 521-9287 or by e-mail at ReadToMe@gmail.com with questions.

Important Program Dates:
June-July 7 = collect your pledge sheet and packets

(you may also email me for the packets if that is more convenient)
Weeks of July 7 & July 14 = Read & collect pledges
*July 7 – Start your reading!
July 17 – 18 = Book fair for all! RFTS participants come and choose their books and turn in pledges and forms to Jump Zone or Jody Robertson.

There is also a Book Fair online at www.ubah.com/BF25310. Online sales are combined with our event so purchases made online at this link also count toward the books for the children of MUST Ministries.
